Homeopathic Medical Camp

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised a Homeopathic Medical Camp on 2 August 2025 on the college campus to promote health awareness and provide free medical consultation. The camp benefited more than 200 participants, including students, faculty, and staff. A team of experienced homeopathic doctors conducted general health check-ups and offered guidance on common ailments, lifestyle issues, and preventive care. NSS volunteers actively supported the camp by coordinating registrations and assisting the medical team, ensuring the smooth conduct of the programme.

79th Independence Day Celebration

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Annapoorana Engineering College on 15 August 2025. The celebration was graced by Chairman N. V. Chandrasekar as the special guest. The programme began with an NSS parade and the rendition of Tamil Thaai Vaazhthu, followed by the welcome address by Principal A. Anbuchezian. The Chairman hoisted the National Flag, and patriotic cultural performances were presented by students. The event concluded with the National Anthem and sweet distribution, reinforcing the spirit of patriotism and unity among the campus community.

One-Day Disaster Awareness Training Programme

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised a One-Day Disaster Awareness Training Programme on 23 August 2025 in collaboration with the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations. The programme aimed to equip students with essential disaster preparedness and life-saving skills. Training included practical sessions on rescue knots, fire safety techniques, rope climbing, and basic first aid. Students actively participated in the hands-on activities, gaining confidence in handling emergency situations. The programme was coordinated by Mr. B. Nandhagopal (NSS Programme Officer) with the support of faculty coordinators and concluded with a vote of thanks.

Blood Donation Camp

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised a Blood Donation Camp on 22 September 2025 in association with Government Headquarters Hospital. The camp aimed to create awareness about voluntary blood donation among students. A total of 95 students registered for donation, of which 55 students successfully donated blood after medical screening. A team of doctors and nurses from the hospital ensured safe and smooth conduct of the camp. The programme was coordinated by the NSS unit with active support from volunteers, promoting social responsibility among students.

NSS Day and Orientation Programme for First-Year Students

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised the NSS Day and Orientation Programme for first-year students on 24 September 2025 at Dr. A. Shanmugasundaram Auditorium. The programme aimed to introduce students to the vision and activities of NSS. Principal A. Anbuchezian delivered the special address, encouraging students to actively participate in social service. The event included the introduction of NSS office bearers, cultural performances, and a presentation on previous NSS activities, inspiring freshers to contribute to community development through NSS.

NSS Fundraising Stall Event for Orphanage Visit – "SPARKLE'25"

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised a fundraising stall event titled "SPARKLE'25" on 27 September 2025 at the college campus to support a Diwali celebration with orphanage children. NSS volunteers set up four stalls — Street Munchies, Kurkurae Salad, Saree, and Rose Milk — showcasing teamwork and an entrepreneurial spirit. Through their collective effort, the volunteers raised a total profit of Rs. 4,200, which was used to organise the SPARKLE'25 Diwali Celebration for orphans, reflecting the NSS motto "Not Me, But You" and promoting compassion and social responsibility among students.

SPARKLE'25 Diwali Celebration at LIFE Trust

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised the "SPARKLE'25" Diwali Celebration on 17 October 2025 at LIFE Trust Old Age Home. NSS volunteers celebrated the festival with the elderly residents through cultural activities, games, and interactions, spreading joy and companionship. A special festive lunch was served, followed by firecrackers and decorative light displays. Sweets and essential groceries were also distributed to the residents. The event, funded through student fundraising activities, reflected the spirit of compassion, social responsibility, and the NSS motto "Not Me, But You."

AEC-NSS "First-Aid Training Programme"

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised a First-Aid Training Programme on 25 October 2025 at Dr. A. Shanmugasundaram Auditorium in association with the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations. The programme aimed to create awareness about life-saving skills among students. Trainers conducted practical demonstrations on CPR, bleeding control, choking response, and basic life support techniques. Students actively participated in the hands-on session and interactive discussions. The programme promoted emergency preparedness and reinforced the spirit of social responsibility among NSS volunteers.

"Digital Discipline for a Bright Future" – Children's Day Programme

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised a Children's Day outreach programme titled "Digital Discipline for a Bright Future" on 14 November 2025 at Vidhya Vaashini Primary and Higher Secondary School. NSS volunteers conducted drawing and Thirukural recitation competitions to promote creativity and moral values among students. A mime performance and cultural activities effectively raised awareness among children about responsible mobile phone usage and digital discipline. The programme was well received by the school community, successfully creating awareness about safe and responsible technology use.

Volunteering Activity at Salem Marathon 2025

NSS volunteers of Annapoorana Engineering College actively participated in Salem Marathon 2025 on 16 November 2025 at Mahatma Gandhi Stadium. The marathon aimed to create public awareness that epilepsy is curable. NSS volunteers supported the event by distributing T-shirts, issuing participant tokens, guiding runners, managing water points, and serving refreshments to nearly 1,500 participants. Their dedicated service ensured the smooth conduct of the marathon while promoting community awareness and social responsibility among students.

Christmas Celebration Programme at Emmy's Special School

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised a Christmas Celebration Programme on 23 December 2025 at Emmy's Special School for children with special needs. NSS volunteers conducted games, dance activities, and festive interactions to spread joy and promote inclusiveness. A volunteer dressed as Santa Claus distributed gifts, and plum cake was shared with the children, creating a cheerful atmosphere. The programme helped NSS volunteers develop empathy, compassion, and social responsibility while bringing happiness to the children and staff of the school.

77th Republic Day Celebrations

The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Annapoorana Engineering College on 26 January 2026. The celebration was graced by Chairman N. V. Chandrasekar, who received a ceremonial welcome through an NSS parade. The programme began with Tamil Thaai Vaazhthu, followed by a welcome address by Principal A. Anbuchezian. The Chairman hoisted the National Flag, and the event featured cultural performances by students. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem and sweet distribution, reinforcing patriotism and civic responsibility among students.

World Environment Day

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised a tree-planting campaign on 10 June 2024 to commemorate World Environment Day. A total of 57 NSS volunteers participated and planted around 150 saplings — including neem, peepal, mango, and banyan trees — across the campus. Principal A. Anbuchezian highlighted the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance and combating climate change. The initiative enhanced campus greenery while creating environmental awareness and encouraging students to contribute to sustainable development.

Blood Donation Camp

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised a Blood Donation Camp on 27 June 2024 in collaboration with Annapoorana Medical College and Hospital to commemorate World Blood Donor Day. A total of 41 first-year students volunteered for blood donation, and after medical screening, 33 students successfully donated blood. The medical team ensured safe donation procedures and provided post-donation care. The camp created awareness about voluntary blood donation and reflected the strong sense of social responsibility and community service among students.

78th Independence Day Celebration

The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 15 August 2024 at Annapoorana Engineering College. The celebration was graced by Chairman N. V. Chandrasekar as the special guest. NSS Orphanage Visit – "SPARKLE '24" - Diwali Celebration at Anbalayam Children's Home

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised "SPARKLE '24" Diwali Celebration on 27 October 2024 at Anbalayam Children's Home. Around 50 NSS volunteers participated in the orphanage visit and conducted games and competitions for the children. The volunteers also shared a festive lunch, distributed Diwali sweets and stationery items, and celebrated with sparklers, spreading joy and happiness. The programme reflected the spirit of compassion, service, and social responsibility among students while making the festival memorable for the children.

Children's Day Celebration at Vedhha Vikass Higher Secondary School

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised a Children's Day Celebration on 15 November 2024 at Vedhha Vikass Higher Secondary School. NSS volunteers conducted awareness sessions on health and hygiene, highlighting the importance of personal cleanliness and healthy habits. Various competitions — including drawing, singing, and memory games — were organised to encourage creativity and participation among school students. Prizes were distributed to the winners, making the celebration joyful and memorable while promoting awareness, creativity, and social responsibility.

NSS Orientation Programme for First-Year Students

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised an NSS Orientation Programme for first-year students on 7 November 2024 at Dr. Shanmugasundaram Seminar Hall. Senior NSS volunteers introduced the students to the mission, objectives, and activities of NSS, emphasising the motto "Not Me, But You." The session highlighted various service activities such as environmental initiatives, blood donation camps, health awareness programmes, and rural outreach. The interactive programme motivated first-year students to actively participate in NSS and contribute to community service while developing leadership and teamwork skills.

Homeopathic Medical Camp

A Homeopathic Medical Camp was organised on 13 December 2024 at Annapoorana Engineering College in collaboration with the NSS, IQAC, and Vinayaka Missions Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital. The camp was inaugurated by Principal A. Anbuchezian. Around 750 students, faculty, and staff benefited from free medical consultations provided by 35 homeopathic doctors, who offered health advice and medicines. The programme promoted health awareness and highlighted the importance of preventive care and alternative medicine among the campus community.

Flood Relief Activity

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College conducted a Flood Relief Activity on 4 January 2025 in Cuddalore District in collaboration with Dream Foundation. NSS volunteers distributed rice and essential household items to 100 flood-affected families, providing immediate support during the crisis. The volunteers worked tirelessly on the ground, coordinating the distribution and offering words of encouragement to the affected residents. The initiative promoted compassion, social responsibility, and community service among students while offering timely assistance to those in need.

76th Republic Day Celebration

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 26 January 2025 at Annapoorana Engineering College. The programme began with Tamil Thaai Vaazhthu followed by an NSS march past. Chairman N. V. Chandrasekar hoisted the National Flag and addressed the gathering on the importance of constitutional values and the role of youth in nation-building. Principal A. Anbuchezian highlighted the institution's achievements, including NBA accreditation of eligible departments. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, fostering patriotism among students and staff.

Leprosy Awareness Campaign

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College organised a Leprosy Awareness Campaign on 30 January 2025 at the college campus in collaboration with Annapoorana Medical College and Hospitals. Medical experts Dr. Prasannababu Narayansamy and Dr. Shanmathi delivered awareness sessions on the causes, symptoms, treatment, and prevention of leprosy. Students actively participated in the interactive programme, gaining knowledge about early detection and the importance of eliminating social stigma. The campaign promoted health awareness, empathy, and social responsibility among students.

Campus Beautification at GHSS, Vembadithalam

The NSS Unit of Annapoorana Engineering College conducted a Campus Beautification Programme on 20 February 2025 at Government Higher Secondary School, Vembadithalam. A total of 65 NSS volunteers participated in restoring cleanliness to classrooms, corridors, playgrounds, and surrounding areas of the school campus. The initiative aimed to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and social responsibility among students. The school management appreciated the efforts of the NSS volunteers, and the programme successfully reinforced the values of teamwork, community service, and environmental responsibility.
