The Fine Arts Club of Annapoorana Engineering College (Autonomous Institution) organized an engaging workshop titled “Mastering Pencil Sketches: From Basics to Realistic Art” on 8 August 2026 at Smart Classroom 209. The programme aimed to encourage students to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills.
The session was conducted by Ms. V. Sangeetha, Drawing Artist and Graphic Designer, who introduced students to essential pencil sketching techniques, including proportions, shading, light and shadow, blending, detailing, and creating realistic effects. The practical guidance helped participants understand the fundamentals of sketching and improve their confidence in expressing ideas through art.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. A. Anbuchezian, Principal, with the support of Fine Arts Club Coordinators – Ms. R. Banu, AP/Mathematics, Mr. N. Navaneetha Krishnan, AP/Automobile, and Mr. M. Siva, AP/Civil. The workshop provided an inspiring and enriching experience, encouraging students to enhance their observation, creativity, patience, and artistic expression.
The event concluded on a positive note, leaving students motivated to “Sketch your imagination and create your masterpiece!”
The Fine Arts Club of Annapoorana Engineering College hosted an inspiring seminar titled “From Silence to Symphony – How Orchestras Come Alive” on 25th October 2025. The event featured Mr. S. Jayachandran, Head & Music Teacher at Sonaria Music Club, Sona College of Technology, as the esteemed resource person. With over 30 years of experience in music education and performance, Mr. Jayachandran brought a wealth of knowledge and artistry to the session.
The program commenced with a warm Welcome Address, setting the stage for an afternoon of musical exploration. Mr. Jayachandran then delivered a 40-minute seminar on the art and science of orchestration, explaining how orchestras are conceptualized, arranged, and brought to life. His insights into instrument roles, ensemble coordination, and emotional expression captivated the audience.
The seminar was conducted by Ms. V. Sangeetha, an accomplished Drawing Artist and Graphic Designer. With her professional background, she provided unique insights into how traditional sketching serves as the bedrock for modern graphic design and digital media.
