About the Department

The Department of Mechanical Engineering will offer a Postgraduate programme in M.E. Industrial and Safety Engineering in the upcoming academic year 2026–27. The programme is designed to develop competent professionals capable of ensuring safety, health, and environmental sustainability in various industrial sectors.

The Department is supported by well-qualified and experienced faculty members who are committed to achieving excellence in teaching, research, and consultancy activities. The Department has excellent infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories, modern teaching aids, and an exclusive departmental library to support academic and research needs.

The Industrial Safety and Simulation Laboratory is designed to provide practical exposure to postgraduate students in the areas of industrial safety, hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency management.
