TITLE: NON DESTRUCTIVE TESTING

Nondestructive testing (NDT) is a wide group of analysis techniques used in science and technology to evaluate the material or component of a system without causing damage. Different Methods of NDT and its applications were discussed in this seminar.

DAY 3: 02.07.2020 & 11.30A.M-12.30P.M

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: PROF. L. PERIYANNAN, M.E., MSW., MLM., MS(IEM)., PGDAM., DMM., DLLAL., MISTE.,MIE., (Ph.D).,

MAHENDRA ENGINEERING COLLEGE, NAMAKKAL

TITLE: GAS POWER CYCLES IN THERMAL ENGINEERING

Seminar will be about discussing the cycle is defined as the series of operation or processes performed on a system, so that the system attains its original state. The cycle which uses air as the working fluid is known as gas power cycle. The cycle can be represented usually on P-V and T-S diagram. The working medium is a perfect gas throughout the cycle, i.e., it follow the law PV=mRT. The working medium has constant specific heats. The working medium does not undergo any chemical change throughout the cycle. The compression and expansion processes are reversible adiabatic i.e., There is no loss or gain of entropy. Kinetic and potential energies of working fluid are neglected. The operation of the engine is friction less. Both heat supplied and heat rejected are in a reversible manner.

DAY 4: 03.07.2020 & 11.30A.M-12.30P.M

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: PROF. B.N. SREEHARAN, M.E., (Ph. D).,

KUMARAGURU COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY, COIMBATORE.

TITLE: APPLICATION OF GREY RELATIONAL ANALYSIS-MULTI RESPONSE OPTIMIZATION USING MS EXCEL

Seminar will be about discussing single response optimization, multi-response optimization, performing Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) in optimizing the process parameters with respect to multi-response scenario. It will cover the step-by-procedure in performing GRA with the help of case study(s) using Microsoft EXCEL.

DAY 5: 04.07.2020 & 11.30A.M-12.30P.M
