The department of Mechanical engineering is a professional programme which helps students to understand the working mechanisms of heavy tools and machineries. The Department has a team of 11 dedicated members of faculty. The course covers technical areas like distribution of electricity through generators, transformers and wiring in buildings. Mechanical engineering demands knowledge about software used in technical work like computer aided design and mathematical modeling. The Department Faculty and students have published more than 70 papers in National and International Conferences/Journals. The major areas of research include Condensation Heat Transfer, Solar Energy, Phase Change Material, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Waste Heat Recovery, Energy Efficient Technologies, Ventilation Analysis, Digital Manufacturing, Vacuum Cooling, Robotics, ERP, Supply Chain Management, Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Safety Engineering. Since its inception in the year 2010, the department with the well–knit faculty demonstrating high professionalism puts the graduating engineers on excellence.


The Mechanical Engineering Department endeavors to be recognized globally for outstanding education and research leading to well qualified engineers, who are innovative, entrepreneurial and successful in advanced fields of mechanical engineering to cater the ever changing industrial demands and social needs.
